Capacity development: Photovoltaic and wind power

We have added data for the installed solar photovoltaic and wind power capacity for all relevant areas. The historical capacity starts in 2008, and the prognosis ends 2025. Wind power capacity is split in separate series for on- and off-shore. Note that the data is updated as new information arrives. Technology and wind conditions at the locations that are still available for newly-built capacity has changed dramatically. Hence, it is not straight forward to assess the effect of, e.g. 100 MW installed in 2008 and the same amount in 2025. These types of change are embedded in EQs models. Be advised to consult our historical data, backcasts and simulated normals for comparisons over time.
